Q. How many participants are on a cornhole team?
A. For tournaments there are 2 participants per team. No substitutions are permitted during tournaments. For leagues there are 2 members per team with an alternate. If 2 of the 3 members are not present then the team forfeits for that week of play. You may only participate on 1 team per event or league.
Q. What is the difference between competitive and recreational divisions for the larger tournaments?
A. The prizes for the competitive division have a greater value. Teams in the competitive division have experience and/or average at least 1 bag-in-hole per 4 bags thrown.
Q. How many games should I expect to play?
A.Tournaments are a 4-game guarantee and double elimination. You will play at least 4 games, possibly many more and will have to lose 2 games before being eliminated. During leagues you will play 5 games per week for 10 weeks.
Q. Will there be time to practice before the event? Can I register the day of the event? If I'm pre-registered what time do I need to arrive to check-in?
A. Gates will open at 11:00 with courts ready for practice. Please be checked-in or registered by 1:30. The tourney begins at 2:00. During leagues the courts will be ready for practice no later than 6:45 with play beginning at 7:00.
Q.Who supplies the equipment? Boards, Bags, etc.
A. IndianapolisSportsPark will supply all necessary equipment. You only need to bring a lawn chair. Our cornhole boards are made according to ACA standards of 2”x4” construction, 1/2” plywood, and a coat of semi-gloss paint. Our cornhole bags are provided by beccasports.com and are made of duck cloth and filled with 1 lb. of corn. Our tournaments are played outdoors on grass. Leagues are currently played outdoors on concrete.
Q. What are the prizes?
A. First, second, and third place prizes will be given for all divisions of tournaments. First place prizes are awarded for leagues.
Q. Do I get anything for free? (HANK-FM Tourney)
A. Register early to guarantee a free t-shirt at the size that you prefer.
Q. Will there be breaks? What is there to do during the breaks?
A. There will be vendors on-site along with food, drink, and alcohol sales. There will also be music (HANK-FM tourney only). Participants and spectators are asked not to bring personal food, drinks, grills, pets, or coolers into the park.

Q. What rules are being played by? Who keeps the score?
A. Rules will be given to each participant at check-in and can be found on our website. Participates will keep score on a scoretower from backyardscoreboards.com that ISP will provide.
